Northwest Chinese School: Civic Engagement Seminar

Updated: Oct 25, 2020

The Northwest Chinese School (NWCS) has long been a hub of the Eastside Asian community, and is the largest Chinese school in the area, which is why it was such an honor to work with NWCS.  On June 2nd, Mayoral Interns Jason Yang and Edwin Ong went to NWCS to promote and host a seminar about the film American Creed there.  The event itself was a success. While the audience attracted wasn’t the biggest, the audience interaction was great and everyone was able to share their feelings on the American Creed.  We hope to return to NWCS in the future to tackle important societal issues with the NWCS community, and have more in-depth discussions about what it means to be an American.
