On September 15, interns had the chance to attend the CIE conference. There, project and club leaders introduced the Mayoral Internship and held a panel to answer questions.
First, we got a brief introduction from Edwin Ong, the previous leader of the Pathway Foundation. New student leader Kristin Yao offered pieces of wisdom for new and returning interns looking to start projects. She explained how projects are initiated at the Pathway Foundation.
Afterward, project leaders stepped to the panel to discuss their projects along with the benefits of joining. Their vivid explanations allowed many interests to bloom, from creative web design to analytical writing. This branched into Rock Jia’s project, a civic club movement spreading through Washington high schools.
Later, project leaders started an informative intern panel limning benefits this internship has. Some other minor points the panel covered included what the project leaders have learned and the structure of the internship.
We ended with detailed information on how to apply for the Mayoral Internship. If you are interested in applying, please click here!
